Hello and salaam!

I am Yasmin Goudarzi.

I am Orient Kontor.

Born and raised here, my home is northern Germany. My father is Iranian. These Iranian roots led me on the trail of this culture - starting with its culinary origins. Where flavours are brought to life. After all, what could reflect a culture better than its cuisine?

I associate the delicacies of Persia with pleasure, special flavour experiences and the opportunity to share my enjoyment of them with others: A good meal brings people together - cooking is international understanding. Nothing unites body and soul as much as shared dishes with intense and special flavours.

In the past, spices and delicacies were an expensive commodity: valuable, exclusive and reserved only for the richest. Saffron, for example, has the myth of being a luxury - and indeed it is! Harvesting and processing are the benchmarks for price and quality, and not all saffron is the same. Its high quality is reflected in the intensity of its flavour and spiciness. Orient Kontor was created as my vision to offer exclusive spices and special delicacies and, last but not least, to live and pass on something of my Persian culture. Orient Kontor - that's me. And all those who work on it!
